The tour to Alp Grüm, a small station of the Rhaetian Railway situated at 2100m, is a single trail highlight of Val Poschiavo and an optical sensation. For those who would like to spare themselves the effort of pedalling all the way to the top of the Bernina pass should take the train from Poschiavo; fitness fans will cycle up the gravel path to Sfazu and then take the pass road to the Hopizio. Once you get there you should take some time to take in the turquoise colour of Lago Bianco and the Palü glacier beyond it. After a short descent on a gravel path to the entry of the nearly 7 kilometre long trail that takes us right past the mighty Bernina glacier. This is a tour that requires good technical skills and offers great riding fun.
